@@looser765 that's what I think too, people always justify him by bringing up his qi deviation case like as if it could change the fact that SJ wouldn't have lived in hell and been traumatized his whole life if YQY just *opened his mouth* and *talked* to his shizun (or shixiongs, shishus, even shidis, shimeis, whoever respected him and expected him to be the next sect leader) that he had a brother to rescue

@@yuling1874 yes! SOMEONE could have saved him from that hell and made him get to cultivation much earlier, so that he didn’t have to learn and depend solely on “dirty tricks”. Also, what about after? I feel like if he even TRIED to explain I would feel a little more iffy- but instead, all he does is continue to call him a name he doesn’t like, and apologizes. He doesn’t explain, which is what Shen jiu really needed- aside from being RESCUED of course. I feel like if he cared THAT much, he would have tried *ANYTHING* to get him safe and out of that hellhole. That means actually opening his mouth up. Both before *and* after.

@@looser765 In fact, YQY does *not* care about SJ. Proof is when SY came, he just asked *once* if there was a way to bring SJ back, that was the most perfunctory care I've ever seen. He always shows that he loves SJ, but actually he doesn't, because love is *acceptance* , he doesn't accept SJ as he is. As soon as SY, who has a more sociable personality than SJ, arrived, it didn't take long for him to accept SY, not caring if he was really the childhood friend he promised to protect or not. In his eyes, SJ was like a disobedient pet. Suddenly one day it was swapped by another pet that looked exactly the same but was more obedient, and he happily thought that this new pet is the same old one with a changed personality. Even if he found out that it was swapped, he wouldn't care where his old pet is. After all, this one is better and just as beautiful, right?

@@yuling1874 i agree. I don’t and will never like how quickly he especially got used to some different person when he seems to care so much- so your description is extremely accurate. He also didn’t believe the person he cared “so deeply for” when there was little evidence- multiple times. Instead of having actual trials or just giving SJ the time of day to explain himself, he just wrote it off and gave excuses. Just like he did when he was only apologizing to SJ for leaving and not coming back- he doesn’t explain or even TRY. So much for loving him. People say it’s fate that brought them further apart, and that “maybe as soulmates they could have had a happy ending” but we only saw SJ trying to keep that together. He barely did anything, and if he did, it didn’t seem as if it was done because he cared or loved him. It’s not fate that tore them apart, it was him keeping his mouth shut and not caring nearly enough. Unless MXTX does have some fate mixing the story up, like how XL catching HHG affected all of TGCF.

When he was supposed to be almost 16 years old and QHT was 15 years old, QJL finally revealed his true nature to his sister and was killed by SJ, who possessed QHT at the time. After that, SJ and QHT burned down the Qiu mansion and left together. They lived together for a long time until QHT died from lack of positive energy due to being haunted by a resentful ghost (SJ), and then SJ came to YQY
